Crusader Fence Co. attended the California Coalition for Adequate School Housing (CASH) 2024 Annual Conference on School Facilities last month. Held at the Sacramento SAFE Credit Union Convention Center, the event drew over 2,000 school facility professionals and supporting industry contacts.

Throughout the conference, our team had productive discussions with industry leaders – many of whom our crews interact with on a regular basis with our projects for schools – including leading general contractors, architects specializing in school campuses, and representatives from school districts across California. Conversations delved into the importance of effective security fence systems, using infrastructure to ensure the safety of students and staff, and how to address objectives that are unique to each school.

“It was awesome to be in a place where everyone is on the same page about improving school campuses and making a safe environment for students,” said Codi Boek, Project Manager for Crusader.

As a trusted provider of fencing solutions for educational institutions, Crusader Fence Co. represented thought leadership in establishing school campus safety. Key topics and priorities included:

  • Perimeter Security: Implementing robust perimeter security fencing to prevent unauthorized access and intrusions onto school grounds.
  • Securing Open Campuses: Addressing the specific challenges posed by schools with open campuses, where additional measures are needed to enhance security without compromising accessibility.
  • Consultation and Collaboration: Emphasizing the importance of consultation and collaboration with school district representatives to identify security needs, develop comprehensive solutions, and ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.
  • Cost-Effective Solutions: Exploring cost-effective options for security fencing that prioritize safety without placing undue financial burden on school districts.

Engaging with stakeholders and sharing insights on best practices reaffirmed Crusader’s commitment to supporting efforts to create safe learning environments for students. As the education sector continues to evolve, we remain dedicated to delivering innovative solutions that meet the needs of educational institutions across Northern California.
